A Belgian chain of two hundred and sixty independent retailers, Exellent retails TV, audio, video, small electrical appliances, telecom, and multimedia products.
The Exellent management decided they needed a new uniform image for their outlets ensuring a stronger national brand image.
IMAGINIF became involved and designed new front signage and developed their facade design guidelines manual.

IMAGINIF created a 20-page manual that explained how each piece of signage in Exellent stores would look.
IMAGINIF made over eighty visual simulations of each dealer facade incorporating the new design. The guideline book contained technical drawings as guidance for the suppliers ensuring the different suppliers were able to construct identical signage and helping to convince each dealer to buy into the new uniform look.
IMAGINIF created a 20-page manual that explained how each signage in Exellent stores would look like.
Next to that IMAGINIF made over 80 photoshop simulations of each dealer’s facade with the new look. So every dealer could be convinced to adapt to the uniform look. The guideline book also contained technical drawing as a guidance for the suppliers to ensure the different suppliers would build the same signage.
Results & Impact of the Facade Guidelines Manual
All the different suppliers adopted the new look for the stores. For the first time, all the storefronts of these independent retailers looked the same. Excellent was thus able to achieve its objective of raising and reinforcing brand awareness, gaining an overall advantage over it’s competition.
